The New Jersey – based Cape May Brewery is planning to roll out a new brew just in time for Pope Francis’ visit to the United States at the end of September.

Ryan Krill, president and co-founder of the craft brewery, told CNA he was raised Catholic and wanted to create a beer commemorating the historic visit. Dear Brothers and Sisters, good morning!

With this catechesis we take up again our reflection on the family. After speaking last time of wounded families caused by the misunderstanding of spouses, today I would like to focus our attention on another reality: how to take care of those that, following the irreversible failure of their marital bond, have undertaken a new union.

The Transfiguration

Both Roman and Eastern rite Catholics celebrate the Church’s feast of the Transfiguration today, August 6, on its traditional date for both calendars.
The feast commemorates one of the pinnacles of Jesus’ earthly life, when he revealed his divinity to three of his closest disciples by means of a miraculous and supernatural light.
Before his triumphal entry into Jerusalem, Christ climbed to a high point on Mount Tabor with his disciples Peter, James, and John. While Jesus prayed upon the mountain, his appearance was changed by a brilliant white light which shone from him and from his clothing.

Dear brothers and sisters, good morning. This Sunday we continue reading the sixth chapter of John’s Gospel.

After the multiplication of the loaves, the people had begun to look for Jesus and they found him in Capernaum. He understands well the reason for so much enthusiasm in following after him and he reveals it clearly: “You are looking for me not because you saw signs but because you ate the loaves and were filled.”

John Vianney, patron of priests. John Vianney, also known as the Holy Curé de Ars, was
born May 8, 1786 in Dardilly, near Lyon, France to a family of farmers.
He was ordained a priest in 1815 and became curate in Ecully. He was
